One of our tasks as a church is to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12). At CPC, we offer numerous opportunities for people of all different ages to come to know Christ, deepen their relationship with Him, and grow in their knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Each Sunday, beginning around 9:00 am we have two adult classes. The class meeting in the conference room is led by Ruling Elder Don Barnes on the identity of Christ in the Gospel of John. The second class meets in the counseling room, and is led by Ron Scott. This class is working through Josh McDowell's More Than a Carpenter.
We currently have two Sunday school classes for children: ages 3 to 2nd grade and 3rd grade and up. They meet in the nursery and children's classrooms. Children can learn more about life in the Bible with the Storybook Bible lessons, along with practical lessons for every day life.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 (NIV).
Child care is available for our youngest children.
Each Wednesday night during the school year, we gather in the Fellowship Hall/Sanctuary for a time of food and fellowship. Dinner is served around 5:30 pm. The cost is $4 per person. Afterwards, around 6:00 pm, we enjoy a time of Christian growth and study. There will also be lessons and activities provided for children of all ages through our children's program.
A group of CPC Women and friends gather each Tuesday for a time of fellowship, prayer, and study. Typically, this study uses books by well-known and respected Christian scholars and teachers to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God. The current study is The Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin. Bible Study begins at 4:00 pm.
