Growing in Christ

One of our tasks as a church is to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).  At CPC, we offer numerous opportunities for people of all different ages to come to know Christ, deepen their relationship with Him, and grow in their knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

  • Adult Sunday School

Each Sunday, beginning around 9:00 am we have our adult Sunday School class.  Our current topic is the book of Acts.  Acts is the only biblical book that chronicles the history of the church immediately after Jesus's ascension.  As such, it provides us with a valuable account of how the church was able to grow and spread out from Jerusalem into the rest of the Roman Empire.  This is a great study you won't want to miss!

  • Children's Sunday School

We currently have two Sunday school classes for children:  ages 3 to 2nd grade and 3rd grade and up.  They meet in the nursery and children's classrooms.   Children can learn more about life in the Bible with the Storybook Bible lessons, along with practical lessons for every day life.

Start children off on the way they should go,  and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 (NIV).

Child care is available for our youngest children.

  • Wednesday Supper & Psalms

Wednesday night's during the school year, we gather in the Fellowship Hall/Sanctuary.    Dinner is served around 5:30 pm.  The cost is $4 per person. Beginning around 6:00 pm, we enjoy a time of Bible Study.  We are currently looking at the book of Psalms.  There are also lessons and activities provided for children of all ages through our children's program.

  • Women's Weekly Bible Study

A group of CPC Women and friends gather each Tuesday for a time of fellowship, prayer, and study.  Typically, this study uses books by well-known and respected Christian scholars and teachers to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God.  Bible Study begins at 4:00 pm.  Our current topic is the book of Hosea.
