Growing in Christ

One of our tasks as a church is to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).  At CPC, we offer numerous opportunities for people of all different ages to come to know Christ, deepen their relationship with Him, and grow in their knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

  • Sunday School

Each Sunday, beginning around 9:00 am, Pastor Tommy is currently leading a class of worship.

  • Wednesday Night Dinner & Study

Each Wednesday night during the school year, we gather in the Fellowship Hall/Sanctuary for a time of food and fellowship.  Dinner is served around 5:30 pm.  The cost is $4 per person.  Afterwards, around 6:00 pm, we enjoy a time of Christian growth and study.  This spring, Pastor Tommy is teaching a series titled Chosen in Christ.  This series is based off of Ephesians 1.  Aside from Scripture, the primary resource will be Richard D. Phillips book Chosen in Christ.  There will also be lessons and activities provided for children of all ages through our Christ's Kids program.

  • Christ's Kids

All elementary age children are invited to join us at 9:00 am on Sundays, and 5:30 pm on Wednesdays. Please make this a commitment and priority for your children as they are taught to walk in faith.  Start children off on the way they should go,  and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 (NIV).

There is a nursery for our youngest children.

  • Women's Weekly Bible Study

A group of CPC Women and friends gather each Tuesday afternoon for a time of fellowship, prayer, and study.  Typically, this study uses books by well-known and respected Christian scholars and teachers to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God.  The current study is from Dr. Tim Keller's book The Prodigal God.
