On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. We prepare ourselves to receive the good news of Easter just as Jesus prepared himself for the work God had placed before him in Jerusalem long ago.

Early on that first Easter Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene and some of the other women went to the tomb - but when they arrived they found it empty. We celebrate the shocking nature of the empty tomb as we rise early to be greeted by our risen Savior speaking to us through his Word.

Join us for a hopping good time at our Easter Egg Hunt! We'll have snacks and refreshments as well as egg-hunting for all ages. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our Easter celebrations culminate as we pour out thanksgiving and praise to God for the reality of the resurrection. Our worship is filled with beautiful music, heartfelt prayers, and biblical preaching. To cap it all off, we end the day with a delicious potluck prepared by all the wonderful cooks in the CPC family.

The word maundy in Latin means mandate. During the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before he went to the cross, he gave them a new mandate, that they love one another. In just a few hours, Jesus would demonstrate that love by dying in the place of sinners like us. We begin our Easter celebrations with a somber worship service where we observe the sacrament of communion as a reminder of Christ's sacrificial death in fulfillment of this new commandment.

We will conclude our Easter celebrations with a delicious potluck prepared by all the wonderful cooks in the CPC family.
