CPC’s New Parking Lot
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” -1 Peter 4:8-10
Several weeks ago, I wrote about the importance of hospitality in the ministry of the church. Since that time, CPC has constructed a new parking lot next to our playground. Our new parking lot offers us a real, tangible way to show hospitality to our community.
We want our guests and visitors to have access to the very best of what CPC has to offer – including the best spots in the parking lot. So if you are a member here at Christ Presbyterian, would you join me in parking over in the new gravel parking lot, as far away from the church building as you can get? We want our visitors and guests to pull in to our campus on Sunday morning and Wednesday night and see good parking spots available – close to the door.
I understand that some of our members will need to park closer to the door for health reasons. But for those of us who are able to walk longer distances, let’s make as many close spaces available as possible for those who need them – both visitors and members.
I pray that the Lord will use this small gesture of hospitality to do great things in his kingdom here in Daphne.
Your Pastor and Friend,
John Knox Foster
