3 Reasons to Walk for Life

3 Reasons to Walk for Life
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” –Psalm 139:13-14

On April 6, Christ Presbyterian will participate in Women’s Care Medical’s Walk for Life. Women’s Care Medical is our local crisis pregnancy center. They minister to men and women who are unexpectedly expecting a child. Many of these families are considering having an abortion. Women’s Care Medical ministers to them and provides them with other options. By participating in the Walk for Life, CPC provides much needed resources for this important ministry. Here are three reasons to Walk for Life:

1) Walk for the Life of Parents: In 2023 Women’s Care Medical assisted 1,434 men and women and provided 2,536 total services. Parents are the first line of ministry for Women’s Care Medical. They come distraught, distressed, and at the end of their rope. We can all think of a time in our lives when we felt that way and found ourselves in similar situations. We needed someone to minister to us the way Women’s Care Medical ministers to these families. Walk for the life of these parents who need ministry so desperately.

2) Walk for the Life of Children: In 2023, 377 babies were born as a result of the ministry of Women’s Care Medical. Psalm 139 teaches us that God “knits” children together in their mother’s womb – long before they are born. 377 children were knitted together last year because of God’s work in this important ministry. Walk so that hundreds more children may be knitted together in their mothers’ wombs in 2024.

3) Walk for the Eternal Life of Families: In January of 2024 alone, four individuals came to saving faith in Jesus Christ through the ministry of Women’s Care Medical. Those four individuals will go on to raise children in “the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Multiple generations of families are given eternal life because of this important ministry. Walk for the eternal life of families in Baldwin County.

Last year, CPC had 25 walkers with and raised a total of $5,440 for Women’s Care Medical. That donation total made us the seventh largest donor in all of Baldwin Country!

This year, our goal is to have 35 walkers participate and raise a total of $10,000 for life.

Will you join us in this important work?

Your Pastor and Friend,
John Knox Foster
