Get to Know THE RILEY FAMILY!
The Riley Family has deep roots in Alabama! Randi and Rick were both born in Birmingham, AL. These future EPC members must’ve been “predestined” to meet when they connected via an online Christian dating service (Christian Mingle) nine years ago.
Not to be outdone by a Super Bowl Sunday, Rick popped the question to Randi and they walked into their church’s Life Group Super Bowl party, an engaged couple! They were married in 2016 in Chelsea and became members of Chelsea Presbyterian in 2018. If that church sounds familiar, it’s a newer church in the Birmingham area that has been a part of our mission ministry here at CPC.
In 2021, The Riley's moved from Chelsea to Baldwin County. When their church family found out they were moving, they recommended Christ Presbyterian. Randi and Rick were impressed with John Foster and his preaching, not to mention the dedication to his faith.
While it may appear that you must have an “R” in your name to be a part of this family, it certainly makes for interesting conversation (and sometime confusion)! Rick and Randi have two beautiful girls and yes, they have “R’s” for their names as well: five year old Raegan and six month old Ricki Blair. A dollar for anyone who hasn’t called them by an incorrect “R” name!
Rick has a History and Political Science degree from Huntingdon College in Montgomery. Randi has a degree in Interior Design from Southern Institute of Interior Design at Virginia College. Rick continues to enjoy golf, fitness and cooking; Randi enjoys antiquing, flower gardening and a new interest in watercolor painting.
Rick made a leap from his degree to the world of fitness and eventually took a position in the shop at Rock Creek Golf Club. He has always loved golf and eventually became certified as a PGA Member Golf Professional. Randi always knew she wanted to be an interior designer. She worked with a design company for nine years before they moved to Baldwin County. She now works from home as lead Designer for Precision Homecrafters out of Birmingham. For her, it is a dream to do both what she loves and to be at home for her family.
This wonderful family of “R’s” enjoy what they dub as Riley Adventures! They like to visit places they’ve never been and not necessarily the typical tourist attractions. It might be visiting a state park or perhaps taking roads they’ve never been down before!
If you didn’t know it already, Randi is presently serving as Elder and her area of responsibility includes that of Christian Education. She was recently the steering wheel behind our huge Fall Festival not to mention, lots of the hard work!
We are blessed to know Rick, Randi, Raegan and Ricki Blair. They bring joy to our church family and we give thanks for the fellowship we share under the banner of Christ’s love!
